The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

You will lead our health and safety function across office, field and subcontracted operations. You will set policy, drive culture, build controls, train our people, and ensure legal and client compliance.

What you’ll do:

  • Write, implement and maintain a robust Health and Safety Policy and associated procedures.
  • Roll out Safe Systems of Work, permits to work and toolbox training to all staff and teams.
  • Build a practical reporting process for incidents, near‑misses, audits and corrective actions.
  • Support our management systems to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and drive continuous improvement in H&S standards.
  • Facilitate H&S meetings and report performance and trends to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Own the H&S element of the Company Risk Register and maintain COSHH information.
  • Plan and deliver a training matrix with the Operations Support function.
  • Write, review and update RAMS.
  • Lead H&S onboarding for new employees and contractors and curate H&S content on the intranet.

  • Full compliance with legal, client and company requirements, evidenced through audit.
  • Clear reporting to SLT on performance, incidents and corrective actions.
  • A current and actively managed Company Risk Register.

About you:

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager, ideally within electrical, gas or similar field‑based services.
  • Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation, risk assessment and data‑driven reporting.
  • Skilled at writing policies and procedures people actually use.
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications; membership of a relevant professional body is advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as needed.
