My client are seeking a Senior BI Analyst to join their growing Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with SQL and complex datasets, strong hands-on expertise with Looker, and solid knowledge of ELT processes. You will play a critical role in shaping data-driven decisions, collaborating with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to deliver scalable, accurate, and impactful insights.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and reports in Looker that drive actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to analyze large, intricate datasets.
- Partner closely with data engineers to define data requirements, ensure data quality, and optimize ELT pipelines.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for reporting and data models.
- Develop and maintain data models in Looker (LookML) to ensure reusability and consistency.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts and contribute to best practices in BI and data visualization.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to handle complex queries and large datasets.
- Proven experience building dashboards and data models in Looker (Not Looker studio or LookML experience required).
- Good understanding of ELT processes and experience working with data engineers on data pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment is a plus.
