Salary: £31,500 per annum

Hours: 37 hours a week with some evening and weekend work

Report to: Children and Young People Team Leader

About the role

SignHealth is a passionate and unique deaf‑led charity committed to creating a future where there are no barriers to good health and wellbeing for deaf people. We know that there are not enough accessible services to support deaf young people adequately and that deaf children and young people are more likely to experience mental wellbeing problems compared to their hearing peers. SignHealth has been working to improve this offer and is committed to improving a good mental health pathway and a broad range of quality health education for deaf children and young people. This role will engage with deaf children and young people directly by supporting the workshop delivery offer and will help shape engaging, inclusive health education experiences across England.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with deaf children and young people directly by supporting and delivering workshop programmes.
  • Work with services specific to England, including safeguarding systems, education frameworks and funding bodies.
  • Work closely with young people, schools and community settings while helping to shape engaging, inclusive health education experiences.
  • Perform regular in‑person work and travel within England.
