We are looking for a talented Associate Director of Income Generation to lead the growth of our income streams and power our ambition to improve the health and wellbeing of deaf people. This role is essential to shaping the financial future of our organisation through ambitious fundraising, business development, and stakeholder engagement.
The role
You will lead on all aspects of income generation, from fundraising to business development. You will deliver an innovative and sustainable strategy that enhances financial resilience, diversifies income sources, and supports the successful delivery of our organisational priorities.
You will manage a talented team and oversee relationships with donors, commissioners, and partners, ensuring SignHealth continues to grow impact. This role blends strategic vision with operational oversight, ensuring that income generation is ethical, data-driven, and aligned with our values and mission.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver a multi-channel income generation strategy across fundraising, contracts, and business development
- Manage high-value funding bids, grants, and major donor relationships
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with commissioners, funders, and corporate sponsors
- Oversee pricing, contract tendering, and delivery of new business opportunities
- Ensure financial oversight, budget control, and return on investment tracking
- Embed compliance with all fundraising, data protection, and regulatory requirements
- Inspire, coach, and empower a high-performing team, promoting a culture of innovation and inclusion
- Support external communications and crisis response where needed
- Champion a safeguarding culture across the organisation
About you
You are a leader with significant experience in income generation within the charity or not for profit sector. You bring a deep understanding of fundraising, business development, and financial oversight, and you thrive on achieving results that deliver real world impact.
You bring:
- Proven success in securing large scale grants and statutory funding
- A broad track record across diverse fundraising methods including trusts, individual giving, corporate partnerships, and events
- Commercial awareness and experience identifying and developing new income streams
- A collaborative leadership style with excellent people and team development skills
- Understanding of the commissioning landscape in health and social care
- High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills
- Strong BSL skills, or commitment to learn BSL up to Level 2
