Established life sciences organisation is looking for an Interim General Ledger Accountant to support their finance team.
The Role will include :
- Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and posted.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
- Review and process journal entries for month-end and year-end closing, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, internal audit procedures, and accounting standards (US GAAP).
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Ledger Accountant or similar accounting role (3+ years).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
