INTERIM Accounting Manager - established life science business based on the outskirts of Reading is looking for an Interim Accounting Manager for a period of 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UKGAAP.
  • General Ledger Management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Oversee the general ledger to ensure proper accounting treatment and correct financial data.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure the implementation and maintenance of robust internal controls and compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the Finance team in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts. Provide detailed analysis of variances and recommend actions to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Audit & Tax Support: Lead the preparation and coordination of external and internal audits. Work closely with external auditors, ensuring they have the necessary documentation and information. Assist with tax filings and ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting processes, systems, and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.

To succeed in this role you will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and accustomed with interim work and the ability to hit the ground running.
