Tax Assistant Manager - Personal Tax

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a highly regarded, award-winning independent accounting, tax and advisory firm supporting ambitious owner-managed businesses and private clients across the Thames Valley and beyond.

Due to continued growth, the firm is looking to appoint a Tax Assistant Manager to join its Personal Tax team, taking ownership of a diverse client portfolio and playing a key role in the smooth delivery of compliance and advisory work.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of self-assessment and MTD for IT clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of tax returns while maintaining strong, trusted client relationships. You'll review and finalise more complex returns, support senior team members with technical compliance work, and act as a key point of contact for clients across multiple communication channels.

You will also play an important role in identifying planning opportunities and supporting the wider development of advisory and cross-service work. Alongside this, you'll contribute to coaching junior team members, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring compliance with internal risk and professional standards.

The successful individual will ideally be ATT and/or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience), with solid personal tax compliance experience, strong organisational skills, and a proactive, client-focused approach.
