We are seeking an experienced Interim Strategy & Corporate Planning Lead to provide hands‑on delivery support during a critical period of strategic transition. The organisation is moving from a set of legacy, pre‑merger strategies to a new, integrated Corporate Plan and strategic framework. In this role, you will be working closely with the Director of Strategy & Policy, and the role will focus on integrating Corporate Plan content, aligning supporting strategies, closing down legacy strategies, and supporting the preparation of the annual ESG report. This is a delivery-focused role requiring strong strategic drafting, analysis and governance capability.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft and develop Corporate Plan content from early analysis through to consultation and approval.
- Coordinate and align supporting strategies, resolving overlaps and gaps.
- Lead the production of a Board‑ready legacy strategy closure report.
- Strengthen the evidence base through analysis, insight and benchmarking.
- Design and facilitate engagement with residents and colleagues, feeding insight directly into strategy content.
- Prepare high‑quality Board and Committee papers, workshops and decision materials.
- Provide drafting and coordination support for the annual ESG report.
Experience they are looking for:
- Significant experience in corporate planning and strategy development in complex organisations.
- Proven ability to draft and integrate strategic content.
- Experience producing Board‑level papers and facilitating senior workshops.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience working across multiple strategies.
- Background in housing, public sector or similarly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting strategy development during a merger or integration.
Working arrangements:
