An ambitious, fast-growing advisory firm in the Thames Valley is looking to hire a Tax Assistant Manager to join their high-performing private client team.

You’ll be expected to review, sign off and take ownership of compliance work, while playing a key role in shaping the future of the firm’s tax offering—particularly around Making Tax Digital (MTD).

You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of personal tax clients (OMBs and private individuals), ensuring high-quality delivery across compliance while building strong client relationships.

Alongside this, you’ll have the opportunity to lead on the firm’s MTD for ITSA implementation, working closely with senior leadership to drive process, technology and client adoption.

  • Managing and reviewing personal tax compliance (Self-Assessment and MTD for ITSA)
  • Acting as a key client contact, building long-term relationships
  • Identifying planning opportunities and supporting advisory work

You’ll likely be at Assistant Manager level already, or a strong Senior ready to step up. You are comfortable reviewing and signing off tax work, not just preparing.

You have an interest in technology and MTD transformation.

Strong background in personal/private client tax.
