I’m working with a long-standing, highly respected Top 100 Accountancy practice with a strong footprint across the South East. Known for its deep roots in the local business community and a genuine commitment to flexibility and work–life balance, the firm is now looking to recruit Audit & Accounts Seniors in its Maidenhead office. This is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious auditors and accountants who want to develop within a business that combines a supportive, close-knit feel with the technical exposure of a much larger firm.

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Audit

  • Assist with or lead audits for a broad range of SME, and owner-managed clients.
  • Support planning, fieldwork, and completion, depending on level.
  • Prepare working papers, test controls, and ensure files meet required standards.
  • Liaise with clients both on site and remotely, representing the firm professionally.

Accounts

  • Prepare statutory accounts under UK GAAP/FRS 102 for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Support month-end and year-end processes, including journals and reconciliations.
  • Prepare or assist with corporation tax computations for review.
  • Produce management accounts for selected clients where required.

Team & Client Interaction

  • Provide guidance to trainees (Senior role) or learn from experienced mentors (Junior role).
  • Build strong working relationships with long-standing clients.
  • Work collaboratively across departments, contributing to a friendly and supportive culture.
