We’re partnering with a respected healthcare provider to recruit an experienced, part time Learning and Development Lead to play a key role in driving quality, consistency and engagement across their learning and development function. Working closely with the Head of L&D, you’ll take operational leadership of a small, passionate L&D team, overseeing day to day learning delivery, compliance and continuous improvement. This is a hands on, operationally focused leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a values led environment and enjoys balancing coordination, coaching and quality assurance with occasional delivery. The position is part time (25 hours per week), offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact within a supportive, collaborative culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the daily operation of the Learning and Development function.
- Line manage and develop the L&D Coordinator and Facilitator, supporting with daily operations and their personal development.
- Oversee statutory and mandatory training compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Lead scheduling and coordination of training programmes, including induction, refresher, and development pathways.
- Contribute to key projects including apprenticeships, career pathways, and system enhancements.
- Deputise for the Head of L&D as required, ensuring continuity of leadership and communication.
About You
- You’ll bring strong operational experience in Learning and Development, along with the passion and drive to lead and motivate a small team to success!
- Previous experience in an L&D or training role ideally from within health/social care (not essential).
- Proven team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Confident with Learning Management Systems (e.g. YourHippo) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel across other sites.
- Desirable: Level 5 qualification in L&D, Leadership, or Health & Social Care. Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent). Experience supporting apprenticeships, career pathways, or Care Certificate programmes.
