An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Leadership Development Manager to support and enhance the capability of management teams within Children’s Services for our brilliant client operating in the care sector. This exciting new role focuses on developing first- and second-line leaders within the management population, ensuring they are well-equipped, supported, and motivated to deliver high-quality care, and manage their teams brilliantly.
This person will play a key role in shaping induction programmes, supporting ongoing development, and using data-driven insights to improve retention, performance, and the overall employment experience for managers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver leadership development programmes for aspiring, new, and existing managers
- Lead and continuously improve structured induction programmes for new Registered Managers
- Collaborate with a wide range of teams, including: HR, Learning & Development, Operations, and Quality teams to align development initiatives with organisational priorities
- Monitor and report on manager progress
- Use data, feedback, and performance metrics
- Provide coaching and mentoring support to managers
- Support succession planning by identifying talent and development needs
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
- Strong understanding of the Care environment and the role of a Registered Manager
- Experience in leadership development, coaching, or talent development
- Confident working with stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage your own workload
- Skilled in using data and feedback to drive improvement
