Accounts Supervisor Role - Aylesbury - Hybrid 4 days in the office, 1 day from home. - £Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Supervisor to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who combines strong purchase ledger experience with a broader understanding of accounting processes and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will take ownership of the purchase ledger function while supporting wider finance operations. This role would suit someone who enjoys working autonomously, is confident improving processes, and has the technical capability to contribute beyond day-to-day transactional accounting. Supervise and manage the Purchase Ledger function, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Post and maintain accounting ledgers in accordance with company procedures. Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective management of accounts payable activities. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Support the adoption and utilisation of finance systems, including new technologies and AI-enabled tools where appropriate. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls. Provide support across the wider finance team as required. Strong experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable environment. Good working knowledge of accounting principles and ledger management. Experience reconciling supplier statements and resolving account queries. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills. Good IT skills and experience using finance systems. AAT qualified Experience working with AI-enhanced finance systems or process automation tools. Previous involvement in finance process improvement projects. Ambitious and keen to develop both themselves and the finance function. A varied role with scope to make a genuine impact on finance processes.
