The opportunity
As Head of Performance Marketing, you will take ownership of our end-to-end digital acquisition and performance media strategy, driving profitable growth across ecommerce and omnichannel. You’ll lead a talented in-house team, manage a multi-million-pound media budget, and work cross-functionally to ensure we reach customers in the right place, at the right time, with the right message. This is a high-impact leadership role where strategy meets execution—perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially driven retail environment.
Core responsibilities include:
- Define and deliver a best-in-class performance marketing strategy across H. Samuel and Ernest Jones.
- Lead and optimise the full channel mix including Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, Affiliates, SEO and emerging platforms.
- Drive profitable growth in traffic, customer acquisition, ecommerce revenue, and omnichannel performance.
- Own and manage a multi-million-pound marketing budget, ensuring strong ROI and efficient media investment.
- Use data, attribution models, and incrementality testing to continuously optimise performance.
- Partner with Ecommerce, CRM, Brand, Analytics and Retail teams to deliver joined-up, customer-first campaigns.
- Identify and unlock new growth opportunities, technologies and innovation across the digital landscape.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing performance marketing team, alongside managing key agency and platform partners (Google, Meta, affiliates and more).

- Strong delivery of revenue, ROI/ROAS and traffic growth.
- Continued ecommerce growth and improved acquisition efficiency.
- Increased contribution from digital to omnichannel sales.

What we’re looking for:
- Proven leadership experience in performance marketing or digital acquisition, ideally within retail, ecommerce, luxury or a fast-paced agency environment.
- Expertise across paid media channels, SEO, attribution and full-funnel optimisation.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing significant media budgets.
- Advanced analytical capability, with experience using tools such as GA4, Adobe Analytics, Power BI or similar.
- A passion for data-driven decision-making, innovation and continuous testing.
- The ability to influence at all levels and bring teams together behind a shared growth agenda.
