As Recruitment Lead you will lead the team in attracting and ensuring the selection of ābest-fitā talent for both our store and store support centres positions. You will be responsible for the management of strategies, systems, processes and practices which enable effective and efficient talent attraction and the fair selection of candidates for roles across the business, up to and including senior management. You will support and lead a Recruitment Advisor and a Recruitment Coordinator to deliver end-to-end recruitment activity, ensuring they have the right skills and tools and are motivated to succeed.
About the role
- Lead the delivery of end-to-end recruitment activity, including the planning and delivery of seasonal volume recruitment activity for our stores, distribution and contact centres.
- Manage and develop a small team ensuring they have the right skills and tools and are motivated to succeed.
- Drive a candidate-centric approach ensuring all candidates receive the appropriate āsellā and best possible experience of our business.
- Establish and maintain effective talent pipelines for frequently recruited roles and ensure opportunities to build our employer brand are maximised.
- Ensure recruitment methods, systems, processes and practices are regularly reviewed and improvements to drive efficiency, experience and/or minimise cost are proposed and implemented.
- Provide regular data and insights, identifying trends and proposing actions to mitigate/address issues and drive improvements.
- Track recruitment spend vs budget, escalating any potential overspend or risk.
- Maintain awareness of changing methods, technologies and industry and marketplace trends and adapt or propose new/different strategies or practices where applicable.
This role offers hybrid working, with 2 days per week in our Birmingham office and 3 days working remotely.
About You
- Passionate about candidate experience with a proven ability to manage a varied recruitment workload using a variety of attraction and sourcing methods.
- Demonstrable understanding of employment legislation and recruitment and selection best practice.
- Proven ability to plan and manage volume recruitment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of headhunting techniques and proven ability to plan and participate in effective selection processes for roles up to senior management level.
- Proven ability to work at pace and effectively prioritise a varied workload.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a proven ability to build effective relationships and influence at all levels.
- Familiarity with and demonstrable understanding of standard recruitment (and related) metrics with a proven ability to analyse data and identify trends.
- Experience of managing and developing a team highly desirable.
- Numerate with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience of tracking and/or managing a budget desirable.
- Pragmatic and able to offer creative solutions with an ability to take a long-term view and see the bigger picture.
- Systems-savvy with applied knowledge of applicant tracking systems and intermediate level capability with MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint desirable.
