Signatus are recruiting a Legal Bookkeeper or accounts manager who can work in a regulated legal practice based in Derry. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, adhering to statutory deadlines and co-ordinating with Law Society and professional bodies regarding all aspects of managing solicitor and client accounts.
They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to produce clear financial reports to Directors.
Responsibilities:- Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings of the company.
- Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly and yearly).
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely processing of payroll.
- VAT accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field would be ideal - ACCA, CIMA, IATI.
- 3+ years of experience in related field or role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks.
This is a role that can offer high level responsibility for running the accounts department of a successful solicitors practice. You will be supported in your role with a dedicated handover for several months to enable you to familiarise yourself with the current working practices and systems, allowing you to bed in effectively and smoothly.
