Signatus are partnering with a well established commercial insurance brokerage in Belfast to appoint a Corporate Account Handler. This is a Belfast based opportunity within the Northern Ireland insurance market, supporting a portfolio of mid corporate and commercial insurance clients. You will own retention and service delivery across a defined book of commercial insurance business. As a Corporate Account Handler you will directly influence renewal outcomes, premium negotiation and long term client growth within the insurance sector.
We are looking for a commercially aware insurance professional who can manage complex commercial insurance programmes while strengthening insurer and client relationships across Northern Ireland. Typical experience would be c5+ years or above however we are open to considering other profiles for this and similar positions within the team.
What you will own?
- Manage a portfolio of commercial and mid corporate insurance clients across Belfast and Northern Ireland
- Deliver full renewal cycles including market presentation, insurer negotiation and placement
- Protect retention across a defined commercial insurance book
- Identify cross sell and up sell opportunities within existing insurance accounts
- Liaise with underwriters in the Northern Ireland and UK insurance markets
- Within 6 to 12 months, operate as a trusted technical Corporate Account Handler within the Belfast team
What we are looking for
Must have
- Commercial insurance broking or Corporate Account Handler experience
- Strong cross class knowledge including property and liability insurance
- Experience handling renewals and mid term adjustments within a brokerage
- Confident negotiating premiums with insurers
- Ability to manage multiple commercial insurance clients simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and regulatory awareness
Helpful but not essential
- Experience within the Northern Ireland insurance market
- Acturis system exposure
