Signatus are partnering with a specialist data protection, privacy and compliance consultancy to hire a Data Protection and Compliance Administrative Assistant. This is a remote administrative assistant role with real client facing responsibility and a clear development path into privacy, GDPR and regulatory compliance work. You will support consultants who advise clients on data protection, privacy, governance, risk and regulatory change. Your work will help keep client accounts organised, responsive and well prepared across active projects. This includes regulatory research, ICO guidance reviews, horizon scanning, presentation formatting, advice report support, client coordination and day to day administration. This role is well suited to a law graduate, legal administrator, compliance administrator or privacy coordinator who wants to build a career in data protection and compliance. You must be based in the United Kingdom or Ireland for tax purposes and have prior administrative experience, with at least a basic working knowledge of GDPR, privacy, compliance or regulated environments. The role offers training, development and support towards CIPP E certification.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Support consultants with the day to day delivery of client work across data protection audits, policy reviews, advice notes, client presentations and follow up actions.
  • Research ICO guidance, regulatory updates and wider compliance developments, then turn findings into clear internal summaries and briefing points.
  • Horizon scan for changes in privacy law, GDPR, compliance frameworks and regulatory expectations that may affect clients.
  • Format slide decks, reports, advice notes and client documents to a high professional standard.
  • Take client instructions, request further information and maintain records of actions, deadlines and outstanding items.
  • Manage diaries, meetings, call notes, document version control and general administrative support for the consulting team.
  • Help maintain templates, precedents, trackers and internal knowledge resources.
  • In the first 6 to 12 months, become a dependable support to the consulting team and build a strong foundation in privacy and compliance advisory work.

What we are looking for:

Must have:

  • A law degree or similar legal education.
  • Prior administrative experience in a professional setting.
  • Strong written English and confident drafting skills.
  • Excellent organisation, follow through and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with reports, presentations, meeting notes and structured research.
  • Some exposure to compliance, risk, privacy, GDPR or regulated environments, whether through work, study or strong personal interest.
  • A professional and confident manner when dealing with clients and senior stakeholders by Teams, phone and in person.

Helpful but not essential:

  • Experience in an administrative, legal support, compliance support or project coordination role.
  • Exposure to data protection, ICO guidance, policy drafting or privacy related research.
  • Interest in building a long term career in data protection and privacy, with support towards CIPP E.

Why candidates take this call:

  • Entry into a specialist consultancy environment with exposure to meaningful client work.
  • A role that combines administration, legal research, compliance support and client coordination.
  • Training and development in a growing area of regulation, privacy and GDPR.
  • A clear progression path towards privacy certification, including CIPP E.
  • Fully remote working and the chance to develop around experienced consultants.
