Signatus are partnering with a respected Northern Ireland legal practice to hire a Medical Negligence Paralegal. This hire will support the progression of medical negligence claims from opening through to conclusion and will have clear impact on client care, case preparation and solicitor effectiveness.

We are looking for someone with previous legal support experience who can bring structure, accuracy and care to a busy litigation environment.

What you will own:

  • Keep medical negligence files organised, updated and moving through each stage of the claim
  • Draft clear correspondence, legal documents and court papers for solicitor review
  • Liaise professionally with clients, medical experts, healthcare providers and other parties
  • Obtain, review and organise medical records and evidence so solicitors can make informed decisions
  • Prepare briefs, chronologies and case summaries that help clarify complex medical and legal issues
  • Manage diaries, appointments and court deadlines so key actions are completed on time
  • Maintain accurate case management records and support compliance with internal procedures
  • Build trust with clients by delivering a calm, professional and responsive standard of care

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within a law firm
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload support role
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail when handling documents, records and deadlines
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Ability to work independently while supporting solicitors and the wider team
  • Helpful but not essential: Previous exposure to medical negligence, personal injury or litigation files
  • Experience preparing chronologies, briefs or evidence summaries
