Your New Employer
Join our client, a UK regional brokerage firm with multiple office locations across the province. We are seeking talented and experienced Commercial Account Handlers to support their next phase of growth. Currently, we have openings for 3 full-time and 1 part-time Commercial Account Handlers on permanent contracts. Working hours are 9 am-5 pm, with hybrid options available (3 days in the office, 2 from home). Full remote work is also possible. Part-time positions require 28 hours per week or 3-4 days, with negotiable flexible hours based on experience.
Overview of the Role
As a Commercial Account Handler, you will manage a portion of our commercial client book and drive new business in diverse SME and commercial insurance sectors. Although our headquarters are in Belfast, we have regional offices across the province, including Derry and Omagh. We offer the option for full-time employees to work remotely, with minimal office attendance required except for client meetings or monthly internal training sessions. Our flexible working structure, which remains in place post-COVID, has proven successful in staff retention, despite industry norms that typically demand full-time office attendance.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Deliver exceptional customer care to new and existing clients, handling a workload independently or collaboratively within our team of handlers, brokers, and account executives. Experience of at least 2 years in commercial account handling is preferable, but we are open to candidates with backgrounds in personal lines, corporate, claims, underwriting, or other insurance-based roles. Our client is committed to training and developing individuals who possess a strong foundation in these areas.

- Professional qualification or progress toward Cert II or relevant certifications, with familiarity in insurance CRMs or sales databases
