A Belgravia-based family with a young infant and two small dogs are seeking the support of an exceptionally qualified, experienced, professional House Manager/Housekeeper.
Primary duties include:
- Daily housekeeping (cleaning, tidying, organising)
- Laundry (including bed linens)
- Care of fine fabrics, furnishings, and surfaces
- Assisting the nanny with the children’s laundry
- Support of grocery shopping (including managing grocery deliveries and in-store shopping)
- Household inventory maintenance (e.g., managing stocks and supplies)
- Basic household administration (e.g., managing deliveries, assisting with household access for service providers such as garden staff, pet groomer, etc.)
- Waste and recycling management (e.g., separating trash and recyclables, preparing trash and recyclables for pick-up, etc.)
- Typical errands and tasks such as dry-cleaning pick-up, package and parcel management, pharmacy pick-up, etc.
- Household maintenance and upkeep (e.g., light bulbs, air filters, scheduling other maintenance as needed with third-party providers, etc.)
The family also require house-sitting and pet-sitting when they are away. This is typically once or twice every 3 months, for around 2-5 nights. Fully furnished live-in accommodation provided during house-sitting periods if not at their property in London.
Whilst the infant has a Norland Nanny, the Housekeeper will be expected to assist with the child in the nanny’s absence (only ever 1 hour or so at a time). Typical hours are Mon-Sat from 8:30am-3pm. Travel is required up to 4 months of the year. It is paramount that the candidate is happy with this before applying for the position.
The ideal candidate will be very comfortable around children and dogs, possess strong organisation skills and be experienced in managing/cleaning high-end homes. You must be a team player, have a happy and positive disposition and be extremely organised. Privacy and discretion are absolute musts. A driving license is preferred.
