Our client is seeking a skilled and active Housekeeper to join a committed and dedicated household team.
- Start: ASAP
- Location: Knightsbridge, London
- Working Hours: 5 days a week, 8am – 5pm (occasional weekends when the family are in residence)
- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 gross per annum
The ideal candidate will ensure the property is always kept to a high standard in readiness for the principal's arrival. They spend between 3 and 6 months per year at the property. This is a varied, hands-on role that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a private household or luxury hotel environment and demonstrate pride in their work, discretion, and flexibility. This job can include physical tasks such as lifting, moving furniture, and operating cleaning equipment. Applicants must be able to perform these duties safely.
Duties included but not limited to:
- Ensuring all rooms are clean, aired, and kept in constant readiness for occupation
- Daily cleaning such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing of surfaces and furniture
- Laundry and ironing, including care for linens and household fabrics
- Monitor lighting, fixtures, report any maintenance issues
- Manage household inventories, ensuring cleaning supplies and materials are fully stocked
- Plant and garden furniture care
- Conduct seasonal and annual cleaning schedules
- Assist with post-visit close-down duties, such as cleaning fridges, storing items, and reorganising cupboards and pantries
