Responsibilities
- Run a defined area of the home with authority to make care decisions.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day running of your care area, provide personal care to residents.
- Lead and guide the care team, manage monthly routine medication and supervise delivery.
- Respond to emergency situations as they arise.
- Serve as the named nurse for individual residents, conduct needs assessments and personal care plans, reviewing these bi‑monthly in line with Signature policy.
- Develop strong relationships with residents, involve them in care decisions and keep documentation accurate and up‑to‑date.
- Act as a role model and mentor, sharing specialist knowledge to uphold high care standards.
Qualifications
- Active NMC registration.
- Awareness of CQC regulations.
- Working knowledge of health & safety and COSHH regulations.
- Post‑registration qualifications (a big advantage).
