Do you wish to bring your passion, flair and experience to a hands-on role supporting the Hospitality Manager ‘front of house’, serving our residents and their visitors the excellent food our chefs produce at our luxury care and nursing home in Surbiton. It’s one thing simply to feed our residents; but you will also focus on choice, dignity, confidentiality and safety, while ensuring that every mealtime is an outstanding dining experience.
You’ll work closely with the Hospitality Manager to manage stock control efficiently, and liaise with the senior kitchen team to provide imaginative and interesting themes for special events; all our festive meals, parties, al fresco dining, buffets and social events such as birthdays and welcome parties. Your role will also support dining operations or food & beverage service in other areas such as the Private dining room, Café, Sky Lounge Bistro or special events as applicable to the home where you are applying.
You’ll also be there to make sure diners’ hydration and nourishment are delivered in a consistent and cost-effective way, within all Health and Safety rules, and that staff are suitably trained and deployed. And importantly, that diners’ experience is the best it can be, while recognising residents’ health requirements and maintaining a happy, healthy dining room. As well as supervisory support this role will also require a hands-on approach.
You will be required to work across a range of departments including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Wellbeing & Lifestyle. Responsibilities will vary on each shift depending on which department you are supporting.
We are kind and compassionate. Positive and resilient. Proactive and organised. Honest and accountable. Passionate and keen to develop. If this sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.
You’re a confident leader, well versed in how to manage a busy restaurant, while supervisory experience, awareness of COSHH, CQC regulations and IDDSI Dysphagia, IT Literacy, a working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, flexibility and a full, clean driving licence are a big advantage.
