Responsibilities:
- Run a defined area of the home, with the authority and accountability to make care decisions.
- Coordinate the day‑to‑day running of your care area.
- Provide personal care to residents.
- Offer leadership and guidance to the care team.
- Manage monthly routine medication and supervise the care team when delivering this.
- Respond to any and all emergency situations.
- Serve as a named nurse for individual residents, focusing on needs assessments and personal care plans.
- Review resident care plans in line with Signature policy bi‑monthly.
- Build strong relationships with residents, involving them in decision‑making about their care.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Act as a role model for all staff and mentor the care services team, sharing specialist knowledge to uphold the highest standards of care.
Qualifications:
- Active NMC registration.
- Awareness of CQC regulations.
- Working knowledge of health & safety and COSHH regulations.
- Post‑registration qualifications are a big advantage.
- Experience with or newly qualified in nursing.
