Responsibilities
- Responsible for the running of a defined area of the home, with the authority and accountability to make care decisions.
- Coordinate day‐to‐day running of your care area, provide personal care to residents, lead and guide the care team.
- Manage monthly routine medication and supervise the care team when delivering this.
- Respond to any and all emergency situations.
- Named nurse for individual residents, focus on their needs assessments and personal care plans, review in line with Signature policy bi‐monthly.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Act as a role model for all staff, mentor to the care services team, share specialist knowledge to ensure the highest standards of care.
Qualifications
- Active NMC registration.
- Aware of CQC regulations.
- Working knowledge of health & safety and COSHH regulations.
- Post‐registration qualifications are a big advantage.
