Job Description
Looking for a short-term role where you can make an impact straight away? Do you have experience supporting events and engaging with students? Signature Recruitment is working with our client, a renowned organisation in the Higher Education sector, to find a Student Events Coordinator to support a busy period of student engagement.
This is a temporary role for six to eight weeks paid at £18.72 per hour plus holiday pay. It is a full-time position of 35 hours per week, with hybrid working. You will normally spend three days each week on campus, with the week of "Welcome" requiring full-time campus attendance. The role is all about helping students feel welcomed and supported. You will assist with events, recruitment activities, and day-to-day administration, working closely with the Student Experience team to ensure a smooth start to term. You’ll gain valuable Higher Education experience, build your event coordination skills, and be part of a supportive team during one of the busiest and most rewarding points in the academic calendar.
Student Events Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of student-facing events across multiple campuses
- Set up rooms, event packs, and presentations
- Respond to event queries via shared inboxes
- Assist with student engagement and recruitment activities
- Liaise confidently with students and colleagues
- Provide administrative and logistical coordination as required
Student Events Coordinator Key Skills:
- Previous Higher Education administration experience (essential, ideally student-facing)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Flexible, proactive, and confident working on campus
