Do you have excellent administrative skills within a Higher Education setting? Do you have a good understanding of the student lifecycle and assessment processes? Are you a confident communicator who is proactive and organised? If yes, Signature Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Programme Officer to join a prestigious London University. This temporary assignment starts immediately and runs for three months – with the possibility to extend. It is offered on a hybrid working structure, with two days on campus.

As the Senior Programme Officer, you will facilitate the efficient running of academic programmes and assessments by providing essential support to students, academics and other stakeholders. Working as a senior member of the programme administration team you will ensure consistent management and delivery of taught provision and assessment processes by providing and supervising high quality administrative support.

Senior Programme Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Confidently supporting the Programme Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks, including inbox management, timetabling, module and assessment registration
  • Supporting Assessment processes. To include handling mark sheets, collating marks, exam scripts, and online submissions
  • Coordinating student enquiries and cases, investigating and resolving complex queries and issues and triaging and signposting when necessary
  • Updating student records, modules and dealing with Mitigating Circumstance Forms (MCFs) and Examination Board processes
  • Assisting with general committee servicing, including calendar invites, agenda and on occasions producing well written Minutes
  • Working flexibly as part of a team, assisting others in times of high-volume activity and undertaking ad-hoc administrative duties

Senior Programme Officer Key Skills:

  • Strong administrative experience within Higher Education and a good understanding of the student lifecycle and assessment process
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to work professionally with a range of stakeholders, including senior members of the team and examination boards
  • Proactive, flexible with strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail particularly when working with complex data sets
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and experience in the use of databases and student records systems
