Signature Recruitment is seeking a Student Office Administrator to join a London higher education institution for a substantial temporary assignment.
This role pays £23.32 per hour plus holiday pay and is available for a prompt start.
You will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, fully onsite in London.
The assignment is expected to run for at least six to nine months, with potential to extend to around 12 months.
Student Office Administrator - The Role
Working within a busy student office, you will support the administration of taught programmes and provide a responsive service to students and colleagues.
The role covers student enquiries, assessments, timetabling, records and general academic administration.
Your responsibilities will include
- Responding to student and staff enquiries and providing clear, helpful face-to-face support.
- Supporting examinations and assessments, including preparation of materials, records and associated administration.
- Assisting with timetable changes, room requirements, student registrations and timetable checks.
- Maintaining accurate student information and using Excel to manage, review and report on data.
- Supporting the processing and checking of marks, feedback and other assessment information.
- Providing wider administrative support, including communications, documentation and meeting notes when required.
Student Office Administrator - What's on Offer
- £23.32 per hour plus holiday pay.
- Temporary assignment of at least six to nine months, with potential to extend to around one year.
- Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Fully office-based in London.
- Working hours of either 9:00am–5:00pm or 8:30am–4:30pm according to operational requirements.
- A varied student-facing role covering academic administration, assessments, timetabling and data.
Student Office Administrator - Who We're Looking For
- At least six months' previous experience working within
Higher Education is essential .
- Previous experience in a student-facing role.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including experience using Excel for data management.
- Strong organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.
- A confident and proactive approach, with the ability to use initiative and manage changing priorities.
- Experience using student record systems would be useful.
- Experience taking formal minutes and using Excel VLOOKUPs would be beneficial.
