The Huxley is one of Edinburgh's busiest breakfast and brunch venues, situated in the heart of the West End. We serve great coffee, Cold Town beer on tap, cocktails, and everything in between — and we do it to a high standard, every shift.
We're looking for an AM Barista to join the team and help us maintain that standard from the moment we open our doors.
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine passion for coffee is essential.
- You should be confident behind an espresso machine, consistent under pressure, and take real pride in what you put in front of a guest.
- Experience working as a barista or in a coffee-led environment is highly desirable, and knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, or spirits is a welcome bonus.
- We want someone reliable, personable, and self-motivated.
- The morning shift sets the tone for the entire day, so we need someone who brings energy and holds themselves to a high standard without being told to.
You'll be working alongside a close-knit, experienced team who care about what they do — and we expect the same from everyone who joins us.
The Role:
- Shifts run 7 AM – 3 PM.
- This is primarily a part-time position c. 3 days per week (24 Hours), though full-time hours are available for the right candidate.
- Some evening flexibility may be required from time to time.
What We Offer:
- Competitive rate of pay.
- 100% TRONC paid directly to staff — nothing held back.
- Complimentary meals on every shift from our kitchen team.
- Staff discounts across all Signature venues.
- Access to our 'Senior Bartender Development Programme'.
- Weekly and monthly staff incentives.
- Access to up to 50% of your wages before payday.
- Regular training sessions from local and global brand ambassadors.
If this sounds like you, submit your application and we'll be in touch. Comprehensive training will be provided — what matters most to us is the right attitude and a genuine desire to do the job well.
