We are seeking a highly experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in joinery and shopfitting to oversee the delivery of multi-trade projects across our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing works in live hospitality environments, particularly pubs, and will be confident in coordinating trades, managing costs, and ensuring high standards of delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage multiple-trade projects including joinery, plumbing, electrical, decoration, and flooring.
- Prepare estimates for work/projects, providing accurate costings for approval prior to commencement.
- Carry out detailed work specifications for minor Capex works.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical advice and problem-solving support across live projects.
- Maintain cost control and budget oversight throughout project lifecycles.
- Report weekly to directors on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure smooth project delivery with minimal disruption to live operations.
- Oversee the workload of the Handyman, ensuring timely completion of reactive and planned works.
- Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role, ideally within a joinery/shopfitting environment.
- Strong working knowledge of building works and multi-trade coordination.
- Experience working in live pub or hospitality environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to produce clear and detailed work specifications.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to travel between venues as needed.
- Full UK driving licence (use of a company vehicle may be provided).
- Relevant qualifications in construction or project management.
- Health & Safety certification (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS).
