Commis Chef Duties
Food Preparation – Assist with the preparation of ingredients for dishes, ensuring that all items are prepped according to the kitchen’s standards and recipes.
Cooking Assistance – Support senior chefs in cooking and assembling dishes, ensuring the correct portion sizes, presentation, and timing.
Maintaining Cleanliness – Ensure that workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils are kept clean, tidy, and in good working condition, following hygiene and safety standards.
Stock Management – Help with the organisation and management of kitchen stock, ensuring that ingredients are stored correctly and that stock levels are monitored.
Health & Safety Compliance – Follow all food safety regulations and health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment in the kitchen.
Required Skills
- Basic Culinary Skills – A solid understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen terminology to assist with cooking and preparing dishes.
- Time Management – The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing tasks effectively to ensure food is prepared and served on time.
