We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembly Team Leader to support the build, installation, and commissioning of bespoke production machinery at our well-established food manufacturing site. If you’re an experienced mechanical engineer with strong assembly skills and a passion for precision engineering, this is an excellent opportunity to take a key role within our on-site engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Assemble bespoke special-purpose machinery to high engineering standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to build complete systems.
- Install pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical sub-assemblies ready for machine installation.
- Lead hands-on build activities and support team coordination.
- Diagnose and resolve assembly and fit-up issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in assembly quality and process reliability.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical engineering background with proven fault-finding capability.
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
