Do you want to work for a privately owned, high-growth, ethically minded FMCG business? Are you a NAM (or ambitious SNAM/NAE ready to step up) who craves responsibility and the freedom to actually make an impact? Signature Career Management is partnered with one of the fastest-growing food companies in the UK – a category captain with long-standing relationships across Grocery. They’ve doubled their categories over the past decade and continue to invest in people, innovation and NPD. With a brand-new UK head office in the London area, complete with chef-led NPD kitchens, they’re entering their next phase of expansion and looking for commercially sharp talent to help them achieve this goal. Entrepreneurial salespeople thrive here!
What’s the role? Joining as a National Account Manager, you’ll take full ownership of a major chunk of business within Tesco, a flagship customer that represents over a third of their business. You’ll lead the JBP, manage a sizeable P&L, collaborate with Tesco’s Buying and Category teams, and shape the long-term future of the category. Huge autonomy, pace and plenty of variety – from range reviews and space optimisation to launching fresh NPD. If you’re looking for a steady 9–5, this won’t be for you. But if you’re ambitious, curious, commercially minded and passionate about food & culture, this could be the move that accelerates your career like nothing else.
Key Responsibilities
- Full P&L accountability within Tesco
- Lead category JBP, delivering revenue, margin and profit targets
- Drive range reviews, insight-led category proposals and innovation opportunities
- Build collaborative relationships with Buying, Category and Supply teams
- Identify new category propositions
- Support strategic planning around demographic trends and shopper missions
What They’re Looking For
- FMCG grocery experience with P&L ownership
- Evidence of influencing change + delivering incremental growth
- Highly analytical – comfortable with data, insights and category storytelling
- Curious, adaptable and entrepreneurial in mindset
- A genuine passion for food, culture and consumers
This business suits well-cultured, creative people who love to learn and enjoy getting stuck in. High performers progress quickly, whether that’s into senior commercial roles, category leadership, wider business ownership or even developing new categories/brands from international markets.
