Procurement, buying, category management! Are you actively looking for a new opportunity to get your teeth stuck into? Are you immediately available/ at short notice and able to take on a 12 month FTC in Procurement?

This opportunity sits within a super interesting FMCG business which has real heritage, personality and a portfolio of brands. Business is good, business is growing, and they need more hands on deck, initially for a 12 month period.

This is a Procurement Manager position working across a breadth of functions including HR, IT, FM and Finance and will see you immersed across many projects during your time here. They have a wonderful people centric culture and this opportunity will allow you to come into the business and leave an impression given the work you’re going to be doing.

This Procurement Manager is based in London with hybrid, flexible working. You’ll report to the Head of Procurement and be part of a wider dedicated Procurement team.

Key responsibilities over the 12 month period include:

  • Working with stakeholders across the UK within HR, IT, FM, Finance etc. to deliver on budget across general services.
  • Navigate, influence and negotiate with numerous suppliers across the globe to ensure responsible sourcing, spending and long term relationships.
  • Undertaking value for money reviews of existing contracts and arrangements.
  • Analysis of data, producing reports on spending and saving.
  • Work with junior members of the team to upskill and coach.

The successful candidate will be available to start at short notice and hold the following experience and attitudinal characteristics:

  • 5+ years experience within buying, procurement or category management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • High degree of commercial acumen and budget management responsibility.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • A self-starter by nature and a people person!
  • Demonstrable ability to operate within complexity.
