Fancy a move to something a little more exciting in Finance? If you’re sat there reading this and longing for an opportunity where you are literally the co-pilot in a scale up brand and working hand in hand with the wider SLT to make impact on business performance, this is it. We’re partnered with a scale up food brand in London who have scaled significantly already and firmly onto their next phase of growth. They’re in-housing their finance function and after appointing a CFO, we’re looking for a Financial Controller to join the team.
Obviously, you guys love the numbers, but all this brand sees are numbers, no ‘so what’s’ or ‘what if’s’, and that’s what they’re in need of. Someone who spots opportunities to improve the business working hand in hand with the operations, sales and marketing teams. This is a business partner role and much of your time will be spent doing just this.
The role will broadly include:
- Business Partnering & Commercial Support
- Process Improvement & Scaling
This is a BIG & BUSY role, no day will be the same, you’ll encounter challenges building new processes given this is the first time these guys have had an internal finance team having to deal with uncertainty, and you’ll need to think BIG, how can we improve? What should we be doing instead?
It’s a diverse role which is very much suited to Finance Business Partners who want to make a commercial impact.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Management Accountant or Financial Controller with:
- CPG business experience with a strong preference for FMCG
- An understanding of the nuances of a D2C business
- Demonstrable experience in step changing business performance – you’re curious as to where you can add value!
- Excellent excel and financial modelling skills
- A hands on mentality, willing to operate across both detail and strategy having already experienced the pace of change of scaling organisation.
This is a rare opportunity and one which requires pace, improvement and close stakeholder management/ development. If you’re interested in learning more, please don’t hesitate in applying.
