Business Development Executive – Convenience Channel
£35,000 + Car Allowance + 10% Bonus | Hybrid (2 Days Northwest + 3 Days UK Travel) | Home-Based Contract | Ideal Location: Northwest/ North of Birmingham

This isn’t your average BDE role. We’re looking for a self-motivated go-getter who’s ready to hit the road, bring in business, and make some serious noise in the convenience and forecourts market .
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own your patch – 3 days a week on the road visiting established and new clients across the UK (mainly North-based), with 2 days in Northwest at HQ for planning and admin.
- Upsell and expand – Drive growth with existing customers (like forecourts, Spar groups, and leisure sites) by promoting well-known branded hot food-to-go products.
- Lead with impact – Deliver new distribution opportunities, promotional planning, and margin management with real ownership.
- Be the face of the brand – Attend events, network, and champion our exciting portfolio at the front line.
- Take control – Manage everything from samples and supply issues to promotions and monthly sales reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
- 1–2 years business development experience – ANY industry, ANY background (recruitment? service? product sales?)- if you know how to win new business and keep clients happy, we want to hear from you.
- Character over CV – You’re enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and love a challenge. We want fire, ambition, and someone who sees this role as a launchpad, not a landing pad.
- A real \’hunter-gatherer\’ mindset – You know how to prospect, pitch, and close, and you thrive on the chase.
- Organised and self-managed – You’ll need strong planning skills to balance time on the road and behind the laptop.
- Team spirit – You’ll collaborate with marketing, field sales, NPD and other teams to deliver the bigger picture.
Location & Logistics:
- Ideally based north of Birmingham – with Manchester being the sweet spot.
- Hybrid role with two days in NW-based office – Stay covered by company
- UK travel required – but your core patch will be in the North.
