Brewery Assistant (Hybrid Brewing & Packaging)

Location: Signature Brew, Blackhorse Road

As part of our continued evolution, we’ve created a new Brewery Assistant role designed to bring greater flexibility to the production department. The goal is that every member of the team can work confidently across the full brewing and packaging process, so we can adapt, support each other and keep beer flowing for whatever’s happening.

This hybrid role focuses primarily on packaging while also covering brewing and cellaring responsibilities. You’ll work closely with our Brewers and Packaging Leads to maintain our high standards for quality, efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Packaging:

  • Set up, operate and clean down the canning and kegging lines
  • Carry out quality checks including seam tests, weights and carbonation
  • Prepare packaging materials and ensure accurate labelling and traceability
  • Palletise, wrap and store finished product safely and efficiently

Brewing & Cellaring:

  • Assist with brews across our core and seasonal ranges
  • Support cellar work including dry hopping, tank transfers and yeast handling
  • Carry out CIP duties and general hygiene across all equipment and spaces
  • Monitor fermentation progress and report any deviations

General:

  • Maintain accurate production records in Breww
  • Follow SOPs and Health & Safety protocols at all times
  • Support other areas of production when required, including warehouse and distribution
  • Participate in sensory panels and contribute to quality discussions

About You

  • Reliable, proactive and quality focused
  • Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Detail oriented with strong time management
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
  • Experience in packaging or brewing
  • Forklift licence and brewing qualifications are desirable
