As a startup, we have developed a technology to profile complex molecular signatures in a single reaction using qPCR machines already in place in every biomedical lab around the world. About the role: This is an early-career, high-impact role for someone who wants to build a career in precision oncology diagnostics marketing while taking real ownership early. You will play a leading role in shaping product positioning and go-to-market strategy, and will be directly involved in preparing and executing product launches for SigBio’s oncology diagnostics. A strong performer in this role is expected to grow into a senior marketing leadership position as the company scales.
Main Responsibilities
- Product Positioning (Supported Leadership)
- Lead the development and evolution of product positioning for SigBio’s oncology diagnostics, aligned with clinical evidence, access goals, and long-term corporate strategy.
- Contribute directly to defining value propositions relative to existing gold-standard tests, including access-expanding and differentiated use cases.
- Support corporate strategy workstreams by translating strategic hypotheses into clear, decision-ready marketing narratives and materials.
- Go-To-Market & Product Launch (Leadership)
- Play a central role in preparing and executing product launches across RUO (Research use Only) / Early Access and EU regulated pathways.
- Contribute to the design and rollout of Early Access / RUO programmes, including positioning, claims framing, and customer-facing materials.
- Support EU go-to-market preparation, including launch sequencing, audience targeting, and dissemination strategy.
- Map out reimbursement requirements and support Health Technology Assessment (HTA) engagement, in collaboration with external advisors and internal regulatory and clinical teams.
- Marketing Content & Scientific Communication (Ownership)
- Develop high-quality marketing materials, including slide decks, one-pagers, and clinical summaries for different audiences (oncologists, pathologists, laboratories, partners).
- Translate complex clinical and scientific concepts into clear, credible, and compliant marketing narratives.
- Support preparation of materials for scientific congresses and industry events (e.g. ESMO, ASCO), including posters, presentations, and booth content.
- Work with Key Opinion Leaders to gather feedback and build advocacy for the product.
- Competitive & Market Intelligence (Ownership)
- Track competing diagnostic tests, emerging technologies, and commercial models in oncology and precision diagnostics.
- Monitor relevant scientific publications, clinical guidelines, and market developments.
- Contribute to assay portfolio extension strategy by evaluating unmet medical needs, emerging clinical use cases, and market opportunities.
- Synthesize insights into structured internal updates to inform positioning, go-to-market decisions, portfolio prioritisation, and leadership discussions.
- Technical Expertise
- Develop a strong working understanding of molecular diagnostics, precision oncology workflows, and clinical decision-making pathways.
- Understand regulatory distinctions (RUO vs regulated IVD) and their implications for marketing claims and communications.
- Apply scientific rigor and accuracy to all external-facing materials.
- Project and Product Delivery
- Collect, synthesise, and communicate customer and market feedback to inform the development and refinement of diagnostic tests.
- Actively contribute to new product development projects by providing market, clinical, and customer insights throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support key commercial and strategic initiatives with structured, reliable execution.
- Continuously improve internal marketing processes, templates, and content libraries.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
- Essential Skills/Experience
- Degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, biotechnology, or a related field.
- Early-career profile with high learning agility and intellectual curiosity.
- Exposure to oncology and diagnostics, preferably molecular or precision diagnostics.
- Strong written and visual communication skills (slides, structured documents).
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, evolving startup environments.
- Desirable Skills/Experience
- Prior experience in a diagnostics, medtech, or healthcare-focused company or agency.
- Familiarity with scientific marketing, medical communications, or product marketing.
- Exposure to commercialisation or go-to-market projects.
- Direct sales exposure (a plus but not required).
