Signal Traffic Management is seeking a driven and ambitious Business Development Manager to support our continued growth across the Midlands. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing client relationships. You will play a key role in shaping the company’s growth strategy and strengthening our presence across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across the Midlands
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Generate and manage leads through proactive networking and market engagement
- Attend client meetings and represent Signal Traffic Management professionally
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
- Identify, complete and submit PQQs and tender documents
- Monitor tender portals and procurement opportunities
- Collaborate with internal operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline reporting

- Proven experience in a Business Development / Sales role (ideally within highways, utilities, construction or infrastructure)
- Experience identifying and completing PQQs and tender submissions

- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Knowledge of traffic management, highways or utilities sectors
- Existing contacts within the Midlands infrastructure or construction market
