Signable is hiring for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data team. This role would be perfect for someone who enjoys owning the journey from raw data through to meaningful insights. If you are someone who is comfortable working between data engineering and analytics, this could be the role for you. It's a fantastic time to join us as we enter a phase of growth after recently receiving a multi million pound investment.

Who we are

We’re Signable, a Bristol-based SaaS company that’s been helping businesses send, sign, and manage documents digitally since 2007. Today, thousands of teams across the UK and beyond trust our eSignature platform, including Aardman, Co-op, Octopus Energy, Krispy Kreme, and Regatta.

There’s never been a more exciting time to join Signable. Following a multi-million-pound investment from BGF, we’re entering a new phase of growth. This investment will help us accelerate product development, invest in new technologies, and create new opportunities across the business. Plus, as we grow, every person who joins us will have the chance to influence our direction, make a meaningful impact, and help shape our future.

But while we’re expanding, we’re still committed to holding onto what makes Signable special: our people, our culture, and the way we work together.
With a 4.8/5 rating on Glassdoor, genuine flexibility, and a culture built on trust and belonging, we aim to be a place where people can grow and feel supported to do their best work.

We’re a values-driven, people-first team, and we’re proud to be recognised by Great Place to Work® as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ 2026, ranking #5 in the Small Organisations category. We’ve also been recognised as a UK Best Workplace for Development™ 2026 and recently won the Bristol Life Technology Award 2026.

About the Role

What you will be doing:

This role is perfect for someone who's genuinely curious about data and the stories it can tell. You'll enjoy digging into complex problems, uncovering insights, and turning data into something that helps people make better decisions. Just as importantly, you'll be motivated by seeing your work create real value across the business.

The Data team at Signable is at an exciting point, earlier this year we welcomed our first ever Head of Data into the business, and together we’re building the foundations for a modern, scalable data function.
Now, we are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to help take that to the next level, creating trusted data products and enabling smarter decision-making across Signable.

This is a senior hire for someone who enjoys owning the journey from raw data through to meaningful insights. You’ll be someone who is comfortable working between data engineering and analytics, data source to data insight and working across multiple skillsets.

If you have worked in the capacity of a data analyst and a data engineer at any point in your career, you’ll likely feel right at home in this role. As this is a senior hire, we’re looking for an individual who can hit the ground running and shape how we work, however this is not a people management role.

You’ll work across dbt, Redshift, Sigma and our wider data stack to create well-tested, well-documented models that support revenue reporting, KPI tracking, customer insight, product usage analysis and company-wide decision making.

You’ll build trusted, reusable, business-ready data assets that will be used for self-serve analytics across the whole business. This includes sales, marketing, customer success, product, tech and finance. This is a highly collaborative role and includes supporting teams such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering and Finance.

Beyond the technical side of the role, you’re someone who can bridge the gap between data and people. You have the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights, work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and use data to influence and drive decisions that help to shape the future of Signable.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders to identify requirements for data across the business, including key use cases such as subscription revenue, product usage, and sales funnel analysis
  • Build and maintain dbt models and certified datasets across our medallion architecture for use in Sigma and self-serve analytics
  • Design and develop the foundations of a semantic layer for core business metrics
  • Translate agreed business definitions into reliable model logic
  • Implement testing standards for critical models

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Excited about working in data and sharing the passion with stakeholders across the business
  • You have worked with subscription, product usage or sales data
  • Technically capable working with complex SQL, designing and building reliable pipelines with dbt, storytelling with BI tools
  • Experience with testing, version control, documentation and data quality
  • Confident challenging unclear definitions or assumptions, using that to work with business definitions and translate them into data logic
  • Able to build data foundations that others can trust and use, knowing the importance of balancing accuracy alongside speed
  • Confident communicating technically to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Happy working in a growing team where standards and processes are still evolving

And a massive bonus if:

  • You have worked in a SaaS business
  • You have supported data literacy, self-serve analytics or data champion programmes
  • You have experience building semantic layers or metrics layers
  • You have worked on AI-ready analytics or governed self-serve data

Please note: The qualifications and experiences above act as a loose guide to what we’re looking for. We’d still love to hear from you if you have more or less experience, so long as the core skills can be demonstrated.
