Our services include face‑to‑face and pre‑booked video interpreting, Deaf Awareness Training, Access to Work support for Deaf employees, BSL translations, and our on‑demand video interpreting platform, InterpretersLive!, a service providing instant communication between Deaf and hearing people through qualified British Sign Language interpreters. All of our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Applicants must be UK residents by the start of employment and have permission to work in the UK. In addition, you are required to hold or undertake a DBS check for roles within Sign Solutions.

About the role: To provide BSL interpreting both face to face and remotely, predominately working within the medical sector supporting Mental Health Trusts and organisations. In addition, you may be required to work with a broad range of clients in the private and public sector, as well as individual Deaf clients. Opportunity to also work on InterpretersLive! service on prebooked and on demand assignments. This role will be based in the Manchester/North West area.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To undertake face to face interpreting assignments
  • To undertake video interpreting assignments
  • To deliver high quality BSL/English interpreting services to all clients
  • To report to Head Interpreter and Line Manager
  • To maintain CPD
  • To abide by NRCPD code of conduct
  • To work well within the interpreting team

Qualifications Essential skills/qualifications/experience:

  • NRCPD registration RSLI
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Experience working in mental health settings
  • A full driving licence is essential
