Full-time
Applicants must be UK residents and by the start of employment and have permission to work in the UK. In addition, you are required to hold or undertake a DBS check for roles within Sign Solutions.
About the role
Provide British Sign Language interpreting both face‑to‑face and remotely, predominantly working within the medical sector supporting Mental Health Trusts and organisations. May also work with a broader range of clients in the private and public sector, and with individual Deaf clients. Opportunity to also work on InterpretersLive! service for pre‑booked and on‑demand assignments. Based in Manchester/North West area.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Undertake face‑to‑face interpreting assignments
- Undertake video interpreting assignments
- Deliver high quality BSL/English interpreting services to all clients
- Report to Head Interpreter and Line Manager
- Abide by NRCPD code of conduct
- Work well within the interpreting team
Essential skills/qualifications/experience
- NRCPD registration RSLI
- Enhanced DBS
- Experience working in mental health settings
- A full driving licence is essential
