About Guest Experience & Wayfinding
Our Guest Experience team provides a common thread that runs across the business. Through a diverse team of experts, we are able to place the guest experience at the centre of our working process from the start to finish of projects. Our expertise covers guest experience mapping, wayfinding & signage and look & feel, as well as a blended offering that covers physical and digital environments. As a team, we work across multiple sectors, giving us an unparalleled understanding of the end-to-end journey from one destination to the next. We work collaboratively with other disciplines in the design studio such as Venue Design and Delivery, offering a unique process to unlock complementary skills, tools and methods. Central to our working approach is an in-depth knowledge of international best practices and inclusive design standards.
About the role
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Designer to join the growing Wayfinding team within our Design Studio in London. You will be ready to assist in the delivery of exciting high-profile projects across a range of sectors including sports, leisure, culture and transportation, helping us establish human-centred wayfinding as part of our wider creative offering. As the Studio grows, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your skills to new diverse areas like Look & Feel, Branding, Guest Experience and Digital.
To come on this journey with us, you will be resourceful, creative, and relish a challenge. You’ll have the initiative to help drive projects at various stages, and be able to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively with our multi-disciplinary expert team.
Key responsibilities
- Support the design of wayfinding aspects of our projects, effectively communicating your ideas to the wider team
- Assist in research, including site surveys and user requirements
- Produce designs, drawings, schedules, guidelines and specifications for conceptual, tender and construction stages
- Support the preparation and delivery of presentations and design reports
- Ensure design quality standards are consistently met
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Design Studio
Skills, knowledge and expertise
- A degree in Design or equivalent
- Good typography and composition skills
- Development in production-ready artworking skills
- Good organisational and self-management skills, coupled with adaptability and critical thinking
- Experience in working with 3D modelling software would be beneficial but not essential
- Good written and oral communication abilities
- Proficiency in utilising the Adobe Creative Suite
- A creative problem-solving approach, displaying the capability to rapidly test various options and derive effective outcomes
- Experience in the sport venue/entertainment sector is advantageous, but not essential
