We are working with a private consultancy that supports NHS trusts to find two Electricians to complete fixed wiring testing and remedials.
Location: N22, London
Assignment Type: Ongoing Agency Contract up to 6 Months
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Role Overview: We urgently require two fully qualified Electricians for a dedicated testing and remedial project in the N22 area. The primary focus will be conducting fixed wiring testing (EICR) across approximately 1000 circuits, identifying defects, and carrying out associated remedial works to ensure full compliance. Experience in methodical, large-scale testing programmes is essential.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
- Fully qualified with recognised electrical certifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent).
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Formal Inspection and Testing Qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395).
- Proven, recent experience in large-scale fixed wiring testing (EICR) and producing certification.
Highly Desirable:
- LV Authorised Person (LV AP) qualification and experience.
- Previous experience working in hospital or healthcare settings is a significant advantage due to the critical nature of the environment and compliance standards.
- Must be able to work efficiently to programme, with excellent attention to detail for both testing and fault diagnosis.
- Valid ECS/CSCS Gold Card required.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) on approximately 1000 circuits in accordance with BS 7671.
- Diagnose faults, identify non-compliances, and propose remedial solutions.
- Execute all associated remedial works to bring installations up to standard.
- Complete all necessary certification and documentation accurately and promptly.
- Adhere strictly to site safety protocols, including specific hospital policies (e.g., infection control, permit to work) if applicable.
