Overview
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative. Number of Roles: 1 | Division: Facilities | Location: Morley.
Outline of role
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of warehouse duties within a fast-paced operation. This includes receiving goods into the warehouse, sorting, stacking and storing stock, and picking and packing items for dispatch to stores across the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring orders are processed accurately, safely and on time. The shift pattern for this role will be 3 on / 3 off with the hours of 6:00am- 6:00pm.
Main responsibilities
- Receiving deliveries of customer stock from trailers into the warehouse
- Sorting, stacking and storing goods in designated locations
- Picking and packing customer orders to agreed turnaround targets
- Dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork
- Loading trailers with customer goods in a timely manner
- Manual handling of products
- Cooperating fully with site safety requirements at all times
- Signing for and accepting responsibility for completed tasks
- Carrying out housekeeping duties, including hygiene checks
- Conducting stock integrity and quality checks
- Keeping the warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy, including shelf dusting, maintaining clear gangways and litter removal
Knowledge and skills required
- A minimum of 12 months’ warehouse experience
- Good understanding of warehouse processes and safe manual handling
- Ability to work to targets in a fast-moving environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A proactive, reliable approach to work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Qualifications
- Valid FLT licence essential – Reach Truck
- Counterbalance FLT licence preferred
