As a Technical Support Engineer at Sigma Computing, you will be part of a skilled team dedicated to making data accessible for everyone. What You Will Be Doing
- Assist Sigma’s customers and pre-sales teams in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to develop best practices and tools for troubleshooting and optimizing performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams—including backend, frontend, devops, design, product, and go-to-market—to create an excellent user experience.
Qualifications We Are Looking For
- Experience supporting enterprise data analytics products.
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, especially databases and business intelligence.
- Proficiency in SQL, including JOINs, PARTITIONs, Window Functions, Aggregations, CTEs, and Subqueries.
- Understanding of SQL performance troubleshooting and plan analysis.
- Knowledge of data modeling and creating logical visualizations.
- Proven ability to build trust with customers and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Desire to develop scalable processes and tools for issue resolution.
- Strong collaboration skills across departments for issue triaging and resolution.
- Team-oriented attitude and enthusiasm for work.
Highly Desirable Skills & Experiences
- Experience supporting cloud services in production.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery.
- Knowledge of GCP and AWS.
- Startup experience is a plus.
