Outline of role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Coordinator to manage stock levels, streamline supply chain processes, and ensure smooth operations from supplier to warehouse to customer delivery. This role is pivotal in maintaining optimal inventory, managing purchasing activities, and supporting the wider operations team with timely and accurate information.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to meet operational demands.
- Conduct regular stock audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Arrange and oversee booking of stock into warehouses.
- Maintain secure and proper storage of materials.
- Track stock requirements and place purchase orders in line with business needs.
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms to ensure cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Oversee shipments, track progress, and monitor for any delays.
- Organise and coordinate transport.
- Collaborate with warehouses, factories, and logistics providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain and update databases, including data imports/exports.
- Analyse inventory and supply chain data to provide business insights and support decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain close communication with Project Managers, Account Managers, and Project Coordinators to align supply needs with ongoing projects.
- Work within budget guidelines to keep operational costs in check.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Coordinator, or in a similar role.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
