We are seeking a Business Development Manager to support our Display team at Sigma Retail Group. This is a remote role with a dynamic work pattern of four days on the road and one administrative day working from home or the office. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth by developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships within the retail sector, particularly across grocery and fashion. You will be part of a collaborative, supportive, and customer‑focused environment, contributing to the delivery of innovative retail display and fixture solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a targeted business development plan aligned with the Display Division’s strategic goals.
  • Build on existing internal relationships to identify opportunities for fixtures and retail project services.
  • Engage and win new customers within the UK grocery and fashion sectors, effectively presenting the division’s capabilities and value proposition.
  • Maintain and utilise CRM systems to manage sales pipelines, forecast revenue, and ensure accurate data management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure tenders, proposals, quotations, and project delivery meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Represent the division at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings to increase brand visibility and market presence.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments to inform strategic planning.
  • Produce regular reports on performance against targets and contribute to ongoing business planning.

Knowledge And Skills Required

  • Strong business development and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop profitable opportunities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems for pipeline management and strategic planning.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and results‑driven approach.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven track record in business development or account management.
  • Experience within retail services, fixtures, fit‑out, or related industries is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with UK grocery and/or fashion retail customers.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
