We are seeking an experienced, strategic Email Marketing Manager to elevate our CRM efforts in the cycling industry. As our Email Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the CRM Manager to develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies, implement automation workflows, and enhance customer segmentation. You will oversee the planning, creation, and distribution of marketing emails, SMS messages, and app notifications while driving performance analysis and optimization. A key focus will be scaling our CRM efforts through sophisticated campaign management and loyalty program development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Email Campaign Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of strategic email marketing campaigns that drive engagement, conversion, and retention across all customer segments.
  • Marketing Automation: Design and optimize automated email journeys and workflows to deliver personalized, timely communications throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Customer Segmentation: Create sophisticated audience segmentation protocols to ensure targeted, relevant communications that maximize engagement and conversion rates.
  • Loyalty Program Development: Support the evolution of our customer loyalty initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance customer lifetime value and retention.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of email marketing metrics, providing actionable insights to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance on email copywriting, design standards, and technical implementation to ensure all communications reflect Sigma Sports' brand voice and quality standards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with the wider marketing team, product teams, and data analysts to align email strategies with broader company objectives and initiatives.
  • Industry Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in email marketing, CRM strategies, and loyalty program innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in email marketing or CRM roles with demonstrated success in campaign management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective email marketing strategies that drive business results.
  • Extensive experience with email automation platforms and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation methodologies and their application in email marketing.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced knowledge of email marketing best practices, deliverability, and compliance.
  • Strong project management abilities with attention to detail and deadline management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience scaling CRM programs through loyalty initiatives and customer lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of cycling, triathlon, or running industries.
  • Experience with any of the following: Attentive, Braze, Iterable, Salesforce, Klaviyo, Ometria, or similar email/CRM platforms.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email.
  • Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and statistical significance.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as GA4 or Looker Studio.
  • Familiarity with Photoshop and/or Illustrator for basic asset editing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
